Tagging: How to add tags to your cards

Good tags are what make your card easy to find. This guide walks you through tagging on Lucid Lust, step by step.

1. Start from the suggested tags

When you upload a card, the site reads it and suggests tags automatically:

  • The Card Type tags, such as character and girl, or clothing, garment, and girl.
  • The age range for characters, and the region and type for garments.
  • original by default: replace it with inspired, recreation, or parody if your card is based on an existing character.

Keep the card type tags: they are read directly from your card.

2. Add what you see

Go through the Tag List category by category, and add every tag that describes your card: skin, body type, proportions, hair, eyes, face, makeup, and so on. Each category page explains which tags can be combined and which ones can't.
Try to add at least 10 tags: the more precise your tags, the more people will find your card.

3. Recreations and parodies

If your card is based on an existing fictional character, also tag the franchise and the character with these prefixes:

  • copyright: for the franchise, for example copyright:overwatch.
  • character: for the character, for example character:widowmaker.

The prefix only sets the category of the tag: your card will show overwatch and widowmaker in their own sections. Real people are not allowed, see the Upload Rules.

4. Suggesting a new tag

Only use official tags. If you sincerely think a new tag is needed, you can use it: it will be reviewed, and either added to the Tag List or removed.

5. Fixing your tags later

You can edit the tags of your own cards at any time: open the card, click Edit, change the tags, and save.

For the complete tagging rules, see the Tag Rules.
